Katy Perry Celebrates impending wedding

While Russell Brand was recently being arrested for allegedly attacking a paparazzo at LAX, his soon to be wife, Katy Perry, was living it up in Sin City.

According to the Star-Ledger, Ms Perry was seen partying in Las Vegas with her BFF, Rihanna, for what was most likely her highly-anticipated bachelorette party. The two pals were spotted at the Cirque du Soleil show Ra and later at the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club for a late-night pool shindig.

Many on the Internet are reporting that this can only mean one thing, that the couple’s wedding vows are imminent!

Of course, before then, Mr Brand will probably have to sort out the strange legal situation he now finds himself in. The funny man allegedly became involved in the ‘argument’ because of a photographer getting too close to Perry’s undergarments.

“If you cross the line and try [and] put a lens up my dress, my fiance will do his job and protect me” the vocalist was later reported to have tweeted.

The wedding of Prince William and long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton is one of the most hotly anticipated events that have yet to be formally announced, with rumours circulating that the couple may have finally agreed a date for their wedding.

The People Magazine have reported that ‘sources’ claim the wedding will take place in June 2012, which differs from a report just a few weeks ago claiming a 2011 wedding would take place.

The new date would coincide with the summer Olympic Games which are scheduled to take place in London in 2012, and would also be taking place during Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee.

So far, palace officials have remained silent on rumours surrounding the couple’s impending wedding, telling the news source that they have yet to be instructed to begin wedding planning for any upcoming marriage.

Prince William and Ms Middleton, both 28, have been dating off and on for the past eight years, and still have yet to officially announce their engagement. The couple reportedly spent a recent weekend with friends at Balmoral, the Queen’s estate in Scotland.

Is it wedding bells for Geri Halliwell?

Is Geri Halliwell preparing to marry her toy boy Henry Beckwith? If recent behaviour is any indication, it would appear so. Plus, her close friend Kenny Goss and long time partner of George Michael may have spilled the beans.

According to the Sun, Geri and Kenny recently popped into Geri’s local parish church at St John-at-Hampstead to see the vicar for an hour. They then headed to swish Mayfair tailor Thom Sweeney, where Kenny was apparently asked which of the two of them should be congratulated. He immediately pointed at Geri, before catching himself and saying “er, I mean both of us”.

Reports in the Metro newspaper have reported that, according to an eyewitness, “Kenny and Geri seemed to spend the day making wedding arrangements. They were in the church for ages before looking at formal dress at the tailors. Geri was giggling and seemed really excited. She wouldn’t say what they were doing, but Kenny let the cat out of the bag”.

Geri and Henry, who is the son of property developer Sir John Beckwith, have been together since April 2009

Uma Thurman calls off her wedding plans

It has been revealed that Uma Thurman has cancelled her wedding plans to billionnaire Arpad Busson, even though they have been engaged for more than a year.

A source close to the Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill star said that despite the breakup, the pair remain friends – although Uma will return her engagement ring.”She will probably give it back. She wants to return everything that is his,” the insider added.

Back in September, the actress claimed that although she was “happily engaged” to Busson, they had not set a date and were waiting until they were both ready to start wedding planning – although rumoured by the tabloid Daily Mail newspaper, that they had been planning a fairy tale wedding at Kensington Palace, former home to the late Princess Diana. A source told the tabloid paper, “Uma wants to get married like a princess. She already has an eight-carat diamond ring and now she is planning to get married in a palace. They want to have it entirely to themselves, so as well as the 11,000 pounds ceremony and venue hire fee, they have hired the rest of the palace to ensure it’s completely private.”

Grace Adams-Short’s quiet, traditional wedding

Big Brother 7 contestant Grace Adams-Short has revealed that she kept her marriage to be a “traditional affair” which she wanted to keep “classy and meaningful”. -  A celeb-free occasion with close family and friends attending the big day.

Speaking to Digital Spy, she said that  her wedding to fellow reality TV contestant Mikey Dalton was at a church near her mother’s home town in Devon.

Despite keeping the wedding a private affair, the whole event was filmed by Wedding TV as the couple allowed their wedding to be filmed by Wedding TV, following the successful filming of them before (on Help! I Need a Wedding Entertainer).

” I have to admit that I was really girly and into the preparations. I was actually bridezilla right up until the end. Even writing up the thank you notes, I was bridezilla. For me, it was all about the preparation and I wanted everything to run like clockwork.”
