March 2010
KATE Middleton is celebrating her 27th birthday, amid a flurry of royal wedding rumours. As Prince William’s girlfriend celebrated her big day with family and friends, speculation was growing that the couple will announce their engagement later this year.
The pair, who met at St Andrews University in 2001, spent much of the festive period holidaying at the royal retreat of Birkhall, the Prince of Wales’s home on the Queen’s private Balmoral estate in Scotland.
During their time together it was reported that William and Kate enjoyed a romantic meal in a secluded log cabin in the grounds of the home. The Prince, an Army officer, is due to start training to become an RAF search-and-rescue helicopter pilot in the coming weeks while Kate works for a party goods supplier run by her parents.
To add to the excitement, it has emerged that the Queen has “blocked out” two dates in June, a move which usually heralds an important announcement. Staff have been told to clear their diaries for June 3rd and 4th. Bosses at the Dom Perignon HQ in France have apparently confirmed that 300 vintage bottles from the Queen’s private collection are ready to be shipped to Britain.
Bookmakers William Hill said speculation around a royal wedding had seen the odds for an engagement announcement this year shorten from 6-4 to 1-2 in the last few weeks.

Russell Brand and Katy Perry
According to the Daily Mirror Russell Brand and Katy Perry are engaged! Russell apparently popped the question last week while Katy was in the UK and that they’re thrilled to be taking their relationship to the next level. It’s reported that the wedding will occur sometime in 2010 if their schedules can work.
This has been a very quick engagement with the celebrity couple only known to have begun dating in September. Sources say, “Russell knows Katy’s the one for him. He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.”
Mr Brand was recently photographed shopping in London for a diamond ring at a Cartier jewellery store, sparking rumours he was planning to settle down with the “I Kissed a Girl” hit maker.
However, according to the Mirror, things didn’t go quite according to plan – because Katy wasn’t happy with the pricey Cartier ring that Russell presented to her and he’s now on the hunt for a suitable ring to give her on New Year’s Eve. The source is reported to have said: “Russell is searching for a jewellery designer to make up a ring in time for New Year after the pair discussed what they wanted to have.

Kevin Jonas to Marry
It is reported that Kevin Jonas has booked a wedding venue and could marry his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa this Saturday, at the same castle in Long Island where ‘NSYNC’s Joey Fatone got married, and where scenes from Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher’s “What Happens in Vegas” were filmed.
Kevin Jonas met Danielle Deleasa for the very first time in May 2007 while they were vacationing in the Bahamas with their families. The oldest of the Jonas Brothers proposed to the former hairdresser in July this year, presenting her with a cushion-cut diamond ring that he designed with Jacob & Co.
Sources claim that the bride will don a strapless Vera Wang wedding dress and a hairpiece designed by Denise Leli. “Danielle has gone for a romantic dress and an intricate headpiece with floral details, because when she met Kevin on the beach she was wearing a flower in her hair.”

Take That band member, Mark Owen is now officially a married man. Mark tied the knot to long term girlfriend, and mother to his two children Emma Ferguson in a Highland ceremony at Cawdor Church near Inverness, afterwards heading to a reception at the historic Cawdor Castle. The couple, who have turned down magazine offers to cover the ceremony, have visited the Highlands in the past and have told friends the venue is their dream location.
Mark, who wore a purple velvet morning suit with traditional top hat, gave his fans a wave as he arrived with fellow Take That band mates Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange. His fellow Take That members, dressed in black tuxedos, white shirts and red roses in their buttonholes, had flown to Scotland on a 17-seater Lear jet to support him.
Emma arrived 25 minutes late for the wedding, wearing a white V-neck fitted gown, embellished with crystals, and an antique-style veil. She smiled and waved as the crowd outside the church cheered and applauded. Encircled by a flurry of photographers, Ferguson was assisted into the church by two bridesmaids, who were also wearing white.

With such a beautiful elegant dress Emma did the right thing when it came to choosing her wedding jewellery, she kept it simple yet elegant with her diamante pendant wedding necklace and a diamante bracelet. Girls Love Pearls have a beautiful collection of diamante necklaces and a ‘Chanel’ inspired diamante bracelet in a similar style to the one worn by Emma but this version from Girls Love Pearls is a bargain at 24.95GBP.
Girls Love Pearls offer a range of exquisite pearl bridal jewellery. The collection features freshwater pearls in a myriad of colours and styles including bridal necklaces, bridal bracelets and bridal earrings.
