Nicole Richie recently announced her engagement to Joel Madden and now the starlet says their wedding is right around the corner. Asked on Tuesday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” if she and Madden have set a wedding date, Richie says they will be getting married “soon.”
The couple, who are parents to Harlow and Sparrow, recently travelled the world while Nicole promoted her clothing line Winter Kate. Now that work commitments have slowed down, they are ready to start wedding planning.
“I just got home, so it’s really going to be like now that’s the time for me to sit down and think about what I want,” Nicole says. “It’s a big deal.” Asked if they’ve set a date for the nuptials, she replies: “Not yet, but soon.”
Richie, 28, and Madden, who turns 31 on Thursday, confirmed their engagement in February, with Richie saying it took becoming a mother for her to realise she was ready to be a wife. The couple have two kids: daughter Harlow, 2, and son Sparrow, 6 months.
