Amanda Silverman told news agency, The Associated Press, that Cruz, 36, wore a John Galliano dress at the ceremony, which only family members attended.

The couple, both from Spain, appeared together in Woody Allen’s film Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2008. Cruz won a supporting actress Oscar for her role in the romantic comedy.

Bardem, 41, was named best supporting actor at the 2007 Academy Awards for his role in the crime thriller No Country for Old Men.

The couple first acted together in Spanish comedy Jamon Jamon. The movie, which won a Silver Lion award at the 1992 Venice Film Festival, also marked Cruz’s debut in a feature film.

Speculation that the couple were about to tie the knot had been growing in Hollywood in recent weeks.

Ms Cruz was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring in October 2009.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse plans to remarry her former husband Blake Fielder-Civil in Las Vegas. Ms Winehouse is reportedly going to remarry Blake in a quickie ceremony in Las Vegas as soon as she can get clearance to come to the states.

“They will definitely be getting married and have agreed on Las Vegas. Amy doesn’t want a traditional ceremony and wants it to be similar to their first wedding,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying. A source also confided, “she chose not to marry in Miami again because she thinks it could be a bad omen”.

The couple, who originally split due to their individual battles with drugs and booze, were first married in Miami in 2007. Now, they are set to tie the knot for the second time in Las Vegas, before moving into Ms Winehouse’s new £2.5 million house in Camden to start a family.

They were reconciled earlier this year just a few months after getting a divorce.

Blake got another woman pregnant while he was in rehab, and still married to Amy, but clearly it didn’t “count” for him. We don’t know whether to congratulate these two or hope they seek more therapy, but it looks like a Vegas wedding is right around the corner regardless.

Nicole Richie and her long time boyfriend Joel Madden are getting married. The former reality star revealed the news on Monday night while taping a Late Show with David Letterman.

When the talk show host asked Richie, 28, if she and Madden were married, the mum of two responded, “we’re not,  we actually recently got engaged.” “Oh, congratulations, that’s nice,” Mr Letterman said. “A lot of people will have children and then they don’t want to rush right into the marriage, you know, they wait ’til the kids get out of college, then they get married.”

Richie and the 30-year-old Good Charlotte singer began dating in 2006. They have a daughter, Harlow, 2, and a son, Sparrow, 5 months. She said having kids changed her outlook. “It sounds cheesy to say, but it does,” she said. “Your whole life changes and your priorities change 100 percent . . . in the best way possible.”

A source is reported to have told UsMagazine.com, “Nicole and Joel are in the process of planning the wedding.  She’s very involved in every detail. She’s thrilled.” The pair are planning for a summer wedding.

Delta Goodrem and her fiance of more than a year Brian McFadden have decided to postpone their wedding due to “increased work commitments”.

“We were sitting down to try to organize the wedding and we were thinking: ‘We’re never going to get this wedding organized by Christmas’.” McFadden told The Sunday Telegraph. “I know if we don’t get married, everyone is going to say there are problems because we pushed the wedding back,” he continued. “But we want to get married and take a nice block of time off, like three months, enjoy our families being there and have a nice honeymoon – not get married between gigs.”

McFadden proposed to Australian singer Delta Goodrem in 2007, less than a year after he divorced Kerry Katona, with whom he has two daughters. Since then, the former Neighbours actress has twice postponed the wedding because of work.

McFadden, 29, is reported to have said: “We’re trying to work out a date between the World Cup and the end of the Formula 1 season.” Luckily, Delta, also 29, is not putting up too much of a fight. She said: “I would love to go to the World Cup.”

The Canadian singer Michael Buble is engaged. The 34 year old proposed to actress girlfriend Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre in November, though the news has just recently gone public. Michael proposed to his leading lady in her native country, Argentina, in front of her family. Michael is reported to have said “they’re ecstatic, they’re adorable, in love and laugh all day long” .

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have offered to organise Robbie Williams’ wedding to girlfriend Ayda Field.  Robbie was reported to have proposed to the American actress over the New Year holiday period.
