Will it be second time lucky for Bradley and Stacey in EastEnders? Fans will be treated to a wedding when Bradley Branning and Stacey Slater get married during the New Year, following last week’s episode that showed the divorced couple kissing.
Lacey Turner, 21, who plays Stacey and 22-year-old Charlie Clements who plays Bradley on the soap were seen shooting scenes for the wedding ceremony, which will be screened in 2010. The couple got divorced in June after storylines involving infidelity, miscarriage and Stacey’s mental illness. However, last week, it became clear there was still ‘something’ between the couple as they shared a tender kiss.
The episode will be screened at the beginning of 2010 and it is only the couples parents who accompany them to the wedding ceremony to witness the marriage. It is also reported that Lacey appears to have a rather large bulge under her dress, which could lead to a new arrival on the show.
The couple previously divorced in June following Stacey’s infidelity with Max, a miscarriage and her mental illness. We are not sure the marriage will last that long as actor Charlie is planning to leave the show and producers have promised a memorable exit for his character.
Footnote. They are not the only people in Albert Square to be walking down the aisle, as Bianca and Ricky are also set to say “I do” in an episode to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the show.
