Prince William Not Marrying Kate Middleton Just Yet

During a recent visit to a centre for visually impaired ex-servicemen in North Wales, Prince William laughed off a cheeky remark about his marriage plans from Corporal Simon Brown, who was blinded by a sniper in Iraq three years ago.  Asked about a possible invite to his wedding, 27-year-old Prince William, who’s previously vowed not to tie the knot before his 28th birthday in June is reported to have replied “You will have to wait a while yet”.

While he was touring the St Dunstan’s centre in Llandudno, the royal heir had a go at archery after being blind folded to simulate sight loss.  Prince William managed to miss the entire target every time. Although he had another go with his eyes uncovered he still proved a poor shot and failed to get near the bullseye again. “I’m going to give up now before it gets too embarrassing,” he said.

Though he made no more than an off hand comment, the second in line to the throne has sent royal-watchers into a flurry of excitement that an engagement announcement from Buckingham Palace could be in the pipeline.  Speculation surrounding William’s wedding plans has led to 2012 being earmarked as a possible date for his and Kate’s nuptials as the occasion would tie in nicely with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

William and Kate have been seeing each other since getting together in 2003 when they were both students at the University of St Andrews.

Carrie Underwood – wedding plans

Carrie Underwood’s forthcoming wedding plans to her hockey player Fiance Mike Fisher  have been undertaken by a wedding planner.  She has revealed that she is not bothered about arranging every minute detail of the occasion. “Any spare moment is definitely used to talk about wedding stuff,”  she tells ETOnline. “We’ve got a great planner, and we e-mail back and forth, and we talk. We’re going to be visiting some places at some point, and figure out where we’re going to have it.”

Last Sunday, Carrie took home a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals for ‘I Told You So,’ with Randy Travis.

Speaking to People magazine at the event, she said that she and fiance Mike Fisher have already made some of the major decisions regarding their nuptials.

Carrie says she just wants to enjoy her wedding day and not obsess over the planning. “We have some of the big decisions made,” she tells PEOPLE. “I don’t care about details. I just want to show up and have a good time!”

In October this year the Buckatree Hall Hotel in Shropshire put a complete wedding package up for sale on EBay following a cancellation. And although Mr Les Clark and his bride to be Colette Palin set aside a maximum of £1,000 for the EBay bid, all it took was a mere £51 to secure the wedding package.

Earlier the couple had contacted the 3 star Hotel with a view to booking their wedding there. However, the hotel’s staff tipped the couple off to the cancellation slot which had just gone up for sale on EBay. Ordinarily a wedding reception at this venue would set you back at least £1,500.

The lucky couple were treated to a red carpet welcome with a Bucks Fizz reception, followed by a 3 course meal for their guests, and an evening buffet for 50 guests. The hotel also provided a perfect end to the wedding day for the newlyweds with an overnight stay in the hotel’s honeymoon suite.

As a reported regular EBay user, Mr Clark wasted no time in placing a bid for the wedding reception. Ms Palin said they had jumped at the opportunity saying:”we just thought we would see if we could strike lucky.” They certainly did, winning the wedding package for just £51.The 25-year-old brides luck continued as she is reported to then have found the perfect wedding day dress with a whopping 50% discount taking the cost down to £450.

Anna Paquin has been pictured on set in a wedding dress for her new film The Romantics, which she is currently filming in Long Island, New York.

She looked stunning in  a the floor-length, champagne-colored wedding gown with a lace bodice and thin spaghetti straps while filming her new movie The Romantics, according to People.com.

Also dressed up for the occasion was Katie Holmes, who plays Anna’s maid of honour in the indie rom-com.  Tom Cruise’s wife looked chic  as she teamed grey heels with  a grey satin and wool shift bridesmaid’s dress as she films The Romantics with actor Elijah Wood.
She may make the perfect bride on set, but in real life Anna has revealed that she does not want to turn into Bridezilla over her wedding plans.

Our long standing soap characters are really put through the mill – tears, tantrums, marriages, breakups and make-ups and this time it is the turn of Coronation Street character Gail Platt to tie the knot again.

Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, 58, is off down the aisle for a record breaking fifth time when she ties the knot with her on screen partner, the debt ridden and bankrupt Joe Mcintyre.  Previous marriages were to Brian, a wedding with Martin Platt, father to her son David, and then Richard the serial killer in 2002.
