John Terry and his wife Toni Poole have agreed to renew their wedding vows in the summer, according to a report. According to the Daily Star, the couple reached the decision at the after Terry got down on one knee during their recent ‘make-or-break’ holiday in Dubai.
John Terry’s future with his wife appeared uncertain last month following reports that the England footballer had cheated on his wife with the then girlfriend of former team mate Wayne Bridge, model Vanessa Perroncel.
The couple were seen together at a water park in Dubai yesterday. Poole told reporters: “We’re having the best time ever. I knew that John was planning something special and this has been the best.”
An onlooker added: “Most of the time they looked like a young couple on their honeymoon, not one trying to deal with an affair.
“But when Terry nipped off round a corner to use his mobile phone, his wife’s eyes never left him. When he didn’t come straight back she got up and went over to him, obviously to find out who he was talking to. Clearly he still has some work to do to rebuild the trust.”
Terry’s wife, Toni, fled to Dubai with their three-year-old twins, Georgie and Summer, after news of the defender’s infidelity broke. However the couple, who made no secret of their recent reconciliation with a series of photo opportunities in Dubai, presented a united front as they arrived at Heathrow airport late last night.
