In an interview with the mirror.com, Russell Brand has said his little black book, his “trusty companion over the years”, is now a closed for good.
Russell said he won’t be needing all those ladies’ phone numbers anymore because, ahead of his nuptials to Katy Perry, the reformed lothario has pledged to remain faithful.
Russell, 34, is reported to have said: “You have to be. That’s one of the things about this institution of marriage, I’ve recently had explained to me by my wife. You must be faithful. And I don’t have a problem with that. I’m really, really in love.”
Then he apparently added: “Well, I mean. You know, it’s sort of odd isn’t it, because there is certainly a compromise. You just can’t maraud through life ‘seeing’ (we changed the word here for modesty…) whomever you’d like. Which is a shame ‘cos I wish I actually could do that. That’s the compromise.”
