There’s really the only way to describe Hilary Duff’s engagement ring and we have to say her fiancé hockey player Mike Comrie really does know that a diamond is a girl’s best friend.
The happy couple were reportedly seen out and about in L.A. whilst dining at Katsuya, where Ms Duff seemed quite excited and smiley. We guess this is due to the new engagement ring on her finger. A representative for the Diamond Information Centre has said that they estimate her ring to be a 10 to 12 carat, radiant cut ring with side stones. It cost the Mike Comrie a pretty penny, too — according to the Us Weekly, the ring is estimated at $1 million! Yes, you read that right!
Mike reportedly asked the former Disney Queen to spend eternity with him while on vacation last week in Hawaii. A close source confirmed the engagement saying, “After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news. They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”
Hilary’s engagement came just days after her ex beau Joel Madden tweeted about his engagement to Nicole Richie.
Hilary has only ever had super sweet things to say about her now fiancé. “[Mike's] a great guy. I’ve never met anyone who could say a bad word about him. He’s generous, caring, funny,” she said about him. “We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life. … He’s unique. I wouldn’t want to be with someone who wasn’t unique.”
