Uma Thurman calls off her wedding plans

  • December 11, 2009 at 6:26 pm

It has been revealed that Uma Thurman has cancelled her wedding plans to billionnaire Arpad Busson, even though they have been engaged for more than a year.

A source close to the Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill star said that despite the breakup, the pair remain friends – although Uma will return her engagement ring.”She will probably give it back. She wants to return everything that is his,” the insider added.

Back in September, the actress claimed that although she was “happily engaged” to Busson, they had not set a date and were waiting until they were both ready to start wedding planning – although rumoured by the tabloid Daily Mail newspaper, that they had been planning a fairy tale wedding at Kensington Palace, former home to the late Princess Diana. A source told the tabloid paper, “Uma wants to get married like a princess. She already has an eight-carat diamond ring and now she is planning to get married in a palace. They want to have it entirely to themselves, so as well as the 11,000 pounds ceremony and venue hire fee, they have hired the rest of the palace to ensure it’s completely private.”

Lamborghini Wedding Car Crash

  • December 11, 2009 at 4:08 pm

A £250,000 Lamborghini to take 33-year-old David Gallucci to the church on his wedding day was the surprise organised by his soon to be wife, Ms Abi Pattison-Hart, who’d paid £8,000 to hire the exclusive super car. As the groom and the best man made the short journey to the church, the supercar skidded on a roundabout.  The groom reportedly lost control, causing the car to end up on a grass verge, to flip over and smash into a fence.

Although both passengers emerged from the wreckage unharmed, the wedding car had a reported £160,000 worth of damage and the yellow Lamborghini Murcielago model has had to be written off.

Luckily the incident didn’t ruin the newlywed’s day, and the bride seemed to take the whole situation in her stride saying, “I had to see the funny side.”
